Mentee update 7/13/12
Mentee of the Week
Christian is a 15 year old from Cleveland who is currently incarcerated at the Indian River JCF. His favorite subjects in school are math, world history, and home economics. Some of his interests include sports and working with animals. When Becky (TNM Director) meet with Christian for the first time she challenged him to go a whole week without getting a behavior write-up. The next time Becky was at the facility she learned that Christian had gone the entire week without getting a write-up. Christian thrives off of encouragement; something that’s been lacking in his life. A mentor voluntarily stepping in with the encouragement of Jesus Christ, can make all the difference. Mentee Of The Week
Still Waiting: Meet Dennis, a 17 year old young man who has a dream of going to barber school. His favorite subject in school is math and he likes many different kinds of sports. Dennis has a desire to make money legally while doing something positive with his time. He needs someone to show him how to pursue the positive goals he has set for himself. A mentor who is willing to pour into his life can help him use his creativity and work ethic for the good of himself and the good of the people around him. Since being at Cuyahoga Hills JCF Dennis has been an active participant in the “Man Up” Bible Study. He does not know Jesus as his Savior but is hungry to know more about God. Please pray for Dennis to be paired with a mentor before time runs out on the opportunity for him to be matched!
